Delicious Apples and Where to Find Them

The leaves are starting to change, the air is getting crisper and the temperature has dipped under 70 degrees which means one thing, it’s finally autumn in New Paltz. With all the changes to our lives, apple picking is one of the classic fall activities that can be done with social distancing in mind. New Paltz has a great variety of orchards and apples to choose from. Here is a list of each location offering pick your own apples including address and hours to help guide your next excursion.


Apple Hill Farm located on 99 S Manheim BLVD, New Paltz, NY, open friday through sunday from 10am to 5pm. This farm has a stunning view of the shawangunk mountains.


Jenkins & Lueken orchards located on 69 Yankee Folly Rd, New Paltz, NY 12561, has been open for over fifty years. Their operating hours are 9am to 6pm Saturday through Sunday. Dressel Farms 271 NY-208, New Paltz, NY 12561, open Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 4pm. There is a five dollar admission fee to the orchards.


Twin Star Orchards located on 155 N Ohioville Road, New Paltz, NY 12561, open Friday through Sunday 11am to 7pm. In addition to pick your own apples, Twin Star Orchards also has outdoor dining with a menu of woodfire pizza, burgers and cider.


At all locations masks are required when interacting with staff members. Have fun, stay safe and happy picking!
